Salary: Starting pay is $75,000+/year- Pay based on years of experience
Hours: Shift starts at 4pm until production ends- Must be able to have a flexible schedule and be able to work weekends
SUMMARY:
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for coordinating daily activities of the maintenance staff to ensure customer satisfaction, and ensure all company policy, vision, and goals are met.
Essential Job Functions:
- Ensure food safety controls are in place and are working to mitigate/eliminate food safety risks; ensure all SOP's are being followed
- Ensure human safety controls are in place and working to mitigate/eliminate human safety risks; ensure all safety SOP's are being followed
- Ensure all equipment is maintained at optimal levels
- Working supervisor role to ensure equipment is maintained at optimal levels
- Ensure Preventive Maintenance and Demand Maintenance activities are performed on-time or timely completed
- Maintain clean work area at all times to insure always audit-ready
- Maintenance areas picked up and swept clean
- Tables and toolboxes pulled out and swept daily, organized, and maintained neatly
- Floor cleaned daily with a floor scrubber
- Adhere to all regulatory requirements
- Ensure staff education and training is completed on-time
- Enforce company policies and procedures
- Ensure customer satisfaction of all maintenance activities, with 100% up-time, at the lowest cost possible
- Monitor quality of services provided to all internal customers
- Set-up and maintain maintenance shop layout and ensure efficient space utilization
- Manage stock rotation, inventory control, and reconcile inventory monthly
- Monitor maintenance costs maximizing productivity, balancing and mitigating overtime
- Collect and analyze the key performance indicator (KPI's) data to determine how best to improve the maintenance processes, and validate and maintain maintenance KPI's in HIPPO
- Ensure proper staffing seasonally, weekly, and daily to maximize maintenance capability; coach and motivate staff
- Monitor attendance by ensuring supervisors track daily attendance, tardiness, early outs, and absentees; ensure supervisors or leads are tracking points
- Perform all coaching, counseling, and discipline of staff as necessary
- Approve all requests for days off, vacation requests verifying available vacation time for the employee, and requests are not less than two weeks in advance, for all production staff
- Work closely with other site managers on purchasing, transportation, sales, production, and warehouse
- Other duties as required by management
Attributes:
Bachelor's degree in engineering and/or business administration
Fluent in English and Spanish
Required Attributes:
Five years of first-line supervisor or leadership experience in a maintenance environment
Proven leadership skills, and ability to manage staff
Excellent communication skills
Hands-on experience with maintenance management systems, procedures, and best practices
Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives
Strong knowledge of maintenance KPI's
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and balance priorities
Ability to identify, to address, and solve problems
Computer courses, certificate, or can demonstrate computer skills
INTER-RELATIONSHIPS:
Will have contact with all levels ownership, management, and staff within the company
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Open availability to work weekends and evenings as necessary, ability to lift up to 40 pounds as needed, work under diverse temperatures from ambient to refrigerated
