Job Description
As a Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing the maintenance of a large facility with 250,000 square feet of refrigeration systems. You will diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, perform preventative and predictive maintenance, and supervise a team of 10 to 15 maintenance technicians. Your role will also involve maintaining detailed records of repairs, recommending and implementing energy-efficient improvements, and collaborating with maintenance and production teams to enhance system performance and reduce downtime.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, including refrigeration systems, faulty wiring, motors, sensors, and PLCs.
- Perform preventative and predictive maintenance.
- Supervise a team of 10 to 15 maintenance technicians.
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, maintenance, and inspections.
- Recommend and implement improvements for energy efficiency, reliability, and cost reduction.
- Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to improve system performance and reduce downtime.
- Read and interpret schematics.
Essential Skills
- 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
- Experience with electrical and mechanical maintenance.
- Ability to be self-sufficient and lead a team of technicians.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with ammonia and refrigeration systems.
- Welding (stainless steel).
- Previous maintenance supervisory experience.
- Electrical experience up to 480 voltage.
- Experience with PLC troubleshooting, pneumatics, and repair.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics.

Work Environment
The position requires working in cold temperatures, with refrigeration equipment set at negative 15 degrees. The role follows a first shift schedule from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm, with an on-call rotational schedule that may require weekend maintenance duties.

This is a Permanent position based out of Waterloo, Iowa.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $80000.00/yr.
