As the Maintenance Supervisor – 3rd Shift, you will play a key leadership role overseeing maintenance and repair operations for a high-capacity steel production facility. This opening is due to an internal promotion, a reflection of the company’s strong development culture and growth trajectory.
What You’ll Do:

Supervise and support a small but growing third-shift maintenance team (currently 2; goal is 6)

Lead daily equipment inspections and preventive maintenance activities

Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems

Ensure safe work practices and OSHA compliance, including lockout/tagout protocols

Respond to emergency breakdowns and help minimize equipment downtime

Manage maintenance work orders and updates via CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)

Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to drive plant efficiency

Support hiring, scheduling, training, and development for your team
What We’re Looking For:

5+ years of experience in maintenance supervision within steel, metals, heavy manufacturing, or similar industrial environments

Proven experience managing teams and handling union workforce dynamics

Familiarity with equipment such as cranes, CNC machines, saws, furnaces, and hydraulic presses
-
Strong working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, and valves

Hands-on approach—you’re not afraid to roll up your sleeves when needed

Comfortable working in hot environments, especially overnight

CMMS implementation or upgrade experience is a strong plus
-
Additional education or certifications in mechanical/electrical disciplines

Combustion equipment knowledge is a plus

Schedule: 3rd Shift | Sunday–Thursday | 10:30 PM – 6:30 AM
Compensation: $85,000–$95,000 annually
