As the Maintenance Supervisor – 3rd Shift, you will play a key leadership role overseeing maintenance and repair operations for a high-capacity steel production facility. This opening is due to an internal promotion, a reflection of the company’s strong development culture and growth trajectory.

What You’ll Do:

  • Supervise and support a small but growing third-shift maintenance team (currently 2; goal is 6)

  • Lead daily equipment inspections and preventive maintenance activities

  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems

  • Ensure safe work practices and OSHA compliance, including lockout/tagout protocols

  • Respond to emergency breakdowns and help minimize equipment downtime

  • Manage maintenance work orders and updates via CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)

  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to drive plant efficiency

  • Support hiring, scheduling, training, and development for your team

What We’re Looking For:

  • 5+ years of experience in maintenance supervision within steel, metals, heavy manufacturing, or similar industrial environments

  • Proven experience managing teams and handling union workforce dynamics

  • Familiarity with equipment such as cranes, CNC machines, saws, furnaces, and hydraulic presses

  • Strong working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, and valves

  • Hands-on approach—you’re not afraid to roll up your sleeves when needed

  • Comfortable working in hot environments, especially overnight

  • CMMS implementation or upgrade experience is a strong plus

  • Additional education or certifications in mechanical/electrical disciplines

  • Combustion equipment knowledge is a plus

Schedule: 3rd Shift | Sunday–Thursday | 10:30 PM – 6:30 AM
Compensation: $85,000–$95,000 annually
