Job DescriptionJob DescriptionA Hilton Garden Inn Maintenance Supervisor oversees a maintenance team to ensure the physical functionality and safety of guest rooms, public areas, and equipment through repairs, preventative maintenance, and quick response to guest requests. Key responsibilities include hands-on repair work in areas like plumbing, painting, and HVAC, managing maintenance staff and schedules, maintaining equipment and supply inventories, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and brand standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintenance & Repairs:Perform and oversee repairs on the hotel's interior and exterior, including guest rooms, public spaces, plumbing, electrical, HVAC systems, and kitchen equipment.
- Preventative Maintenance:Implement and manage the preventative maintenance program to keep all equipment and the property's infrastructure in good working order.
- Guest Service:Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests and complaints related to maintenance issues.
- Inventory & Supply Management:Maintain an inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment, ensuring they are replenished and ready for use.
- Safety & Compliance:Monitor life safety systems, enforce safety procedures, and ensure the department complies with all federal, state, and local laws and Hilton brand standards.
- Budgeting:Assist the Director or Manager with budget preparation and financial reporting related to maintenance operations.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Technical Skills: Solid knowledge of building maintenance, with hands-on experience in various trades such as plumbing, painting, electrical, and HVAC.
- Troubleshooting: Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve maintenance issues effectively.
- Leadership: Ability to supervise and direct a team of maintenance staff.
- Communication: Strong communication skills to interact courteously with guests and effectively with team members and management.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physical tasks related to maintenance work.
- Certifications: A Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification not required.
