We are a gray-iron foundry in Warsaw we specialize in large, highly cored, complex castings (roughly 20–900 lbs.).We supply critical parts to HVAC, power transmission, engine, heavy truck, agriculture, and construction markets, with in-house core production and value-added services like shot blasting, robotic deburring, and machining. We pair prototyping and simulation with a strong safety and quality culture.
Job Description About the role
Maintain, repair, install, and adjust mechanical and electrical systems in a high-production gray iron foundry with limited supervision. Ensure safe, reliable operation of molding, melt, core, finishing, and support equipment.
What you’ll do
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain power/control circuits, AC/DC motors, VFDs, and transformers; apply NEC requirements.
• Bend/install conduit; wire motors/generators; maintain lighting and power circuits; read/layout from blueprints.
• Diagnose/repair PLC-controlled systems; perform electronic control install/repair.
• Perform mechanical work: rebuild/fabricate parts; welding (oxy-acetylene/arc); piping fabrication and installation.
• Service hydraulics/pneumatics; conveyors, shot-blast, cranes/hoists, furnaces, grinders, molding machines, vehicles, and building/grounds.
• Execute preventive maintenance inspections, lubrications, daily check sheets, and write work orders.
• Collaborate with other crafts/contractors; support training of maintenance trainees; uphold all safety procedures and housekeeping standards.
Requirements:
• High school diploma/GED required; technical training in maintenance/electrical/mechanical .
• 5+ years industrial maintenance experience in heavy manufacturing/foundry or similar.
• Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills (NEC knowledge, PLC basics, hydraulics/pneumatics).
• Ability to read blueprints/schematics and work independently in a fast-paced production environment.
• Not blind (role requires distinguishing wire/colors).
