MAINTENANCE SAFETY MANAGER

SALARY: $71,339-$89,173
The Maintenance Safety Manager ensures safety compliance across Sun Tran’s maintenance operations. This role promotes a culture of safety, ensures adherence to OSHA, FTA, and other regulations, leads audits and investigations, and delivers safety training for maintenance staff.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or GED required. 3-5 years of experience in transit maintenance, safety supervision or a related field. Class B with Passenger endorsement, or ability to obtain within 90 days.
MAJOR FUNCTIONS: • Enforce safety policies and procedures in maintenance facilities • Conduct safety audits, inspections and risk assessments • Collaborate with supervisors and staff to maintain safety standards • Investigate incidents and recommend corrective actions • Develop and deliver safety training (PPE, hazardous materials, emergency response) • Ensure compliance with OSHA, FTA and local safety regulations • Maintain safety documentation and analyze trends • Participate in safety committees and respond to regulatory inquiries.
