Maintenance Project Manager – Hard FM Provider – London (Surrounding areas) - Up to £65K \n\n One of London’s most established maintenance service providers is currently looking for a Maintenance Project Manager to join their team on a number of flagship contracts in Central London and surrounding areas.\n\n The Maintenance Project Manager will be initially looking after projects up to the value of one million and these will include plant replacements, refurbishments and installations. The value of the projects will grow over the course of the next year. \n\n The role will be working closely with and supported by the existing engineering teams and will be expected to manage the projects from start to finish. \n\nThe key responsibilities are as follows:\n\nEnsure that Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) are prepared, monitored, and fully compliant with site-specific requirements.\nCarry out periodic audits with subcontractors and their teams to confirm they understand their RAMS and scope of works.\nPromote adherence to site health & safety processes and procedures across all teams.\nProject Management & Delivery\nManage projects to achieve contracted targets.\nPrepare projection and performance reports.\nManage and forecast spend to ensure financial control.\nUse Excel-based spreadsheets to monitor and maintain budgets.\nProcure relevant plant, materials, and subcontractor packages in line with programme dates.\nMonitor work progress and ensure quality standards are consistently met.\nReporting & Documentation\nPrepare work-in-progress reports for submission to the Senior Project Manager.\nIssue weekly progress reports highlighting:\nAchievements made\nDelays or outstanding works\nCost overruns\nSubcontractor or material-related issues\nCollate certification and data documentation for in O&M manuals.\nPrepare timing plans, installation, and commissioning documents.\nEnsure drawing updates are approved and documented.\nCross-Business Responsibilities\nLiaise closely with clients, subcontractors, and in-house project teams.\nAttend project group meetings and technical coordination sessions.\nAssist in preparing and following through on tender submissions and technical documentation.\nProvide a service-focused approach when dealing with clients.\nAnalyse labour resource requirements for each project, including placement, management, and associated cost controlThe ideal candidate for the role must be able to meet the following criteria:\n\nMust be fully electrically or mechanically qualified to a recognised level.\nMust have a technical understanding of building services engineering systems. \nExcellent project management skills.\nPrevious experience of working on projects involving plant replacements.\nPrevious experience with the commercial, built environment.\nExperience of managing engineering projects in a similar environment.\nManaging progress reports and people and stakeholder expectations.\nStrong communication, influencing and planning skills.\nExperience of working on engineering refurbishment projects and managing complex technical constructions in a live environment.\nFully acquainted with the requirements of the CDM Regulations to ensure all projects are always fully compliant with Health & Safety legislation.Please send your CV to katie at CBW Staffing Solutions for more information
