Job Title: Maintenance Porter Parking Facilities

Position Type: Full-Time ; Open to Part-Time Inquiries
Position Summary:
The Maintenance Porter is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, safety, and general upkeep of parking facilities, including garages, surface lots, stairwells, elevators, and surrounding areas. This role plays a critical part in maintaining a professional appearance and safe environment for customers, clients, and staff using the facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cleaning of parking areas, stairwells, elevators, entrances/exits, and surrounding sidewalks.
- Sweep, mop, pressure wash, or scrub surfaces as needed to maintain cleanliness and safety.
- Remove trash, debris, and litter from parking areas and receptacles throughout the day.
- Conduct light maintenance such as replacing light bulbs, cleaning signage, or touching up paint.
- Report any damage, vandalism, or maintenance needs (e.g., broken gates, malfunctioning lights, graffiti) to supervisors promptly.
- Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and notify supervisor of restocking needs.
- Maintain safety standards by reporting hazards and using appropriate signage when cleaning or performing maintenance tasks.
- Operate cleaning and maintenance equipment such as pressure washers, floor scrubbers, or hand tools.
- Support seasonal needs such as de-icing, snow shoveling, or storm clean-up.
- Respond to service requests or facility issues as assigned by management.
- Provide excellent customer service and direct patrons as needed in a professional and courteous manner.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED .
- Previous experience in janitorial, facilities, or maintenance roles .
- Valid drivers license (if driving between locations or operating company vehicles).
- Must be able to pass background check and meet client-specific requirements.

- Reliable and self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good communication skills and a professional appearance.
- Attention to detail and commitment to safety and cleanliness.
- Comfortable working outdoors and in enclosed garage environments in varying weather conditions.
- Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing physical tasks such as bending, standing, and walking for extended periods.
Work Conditions
- Work is primarily performed outdoors and in parking structures, including exposure to weather, dust, fumes, and noise.
- May include weekends, evenings, and holiday shifts depending on facility hours and needs.
