Summary: Responsible for planning, scheduling and coordination of proactive maintenance and facilities work performed at both Nautique production facilities. The objective of this position is to minimize total maintenance cost and effort by maximizing maintenance work force efficiency and productivity thereby improving equipment reliability.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain relationships with safety and production supervisors to maximize cooperation and coordination of maintenance and facilities work. Supports maintenance management in ensuring we provide transparency to safety and operations.
- Evaluates reactive, proactive, project, and other work requests, develops scope of work, and inspects job location to determine job requirements.
- Estimates labor hours, manpower, parts, materials, equipment and special tools required to complete proactive jobs in a safe and cost-effective manner.
- Works with the maintenance manager and technicians to develop and implement facility wide preventative maintenance plans.
- Analyzes and updates Preventative Maintenance Plans for accuracy and effectiveness.
- Gathers relevant technical documentation such as drawings, schematics, specifications, spare parts lists from equipment histories, OEM manuals and the maintenance request system. Verifies the availability of, or orders parts through our MRO buyer prior to scheduling the job. Arrange for special tools and auxiliary equipment when required.
- Responsible for reviewing and organizing the daily work requests of the facilities and maintenance as well as janitorial services teams. Many of these requests are projects currently and require coordination and planning to be executed properly.
- Organizes and leads planning & scheduling meetings with the different Production departments to determine work order priorities, communicate work order status and alter planned maintenance activities when necessary.
- Improves work order planning and scheduling effectiveness through the review process and use of the maintenance metrics.
- Coordinate the timely and safe completion of proactive and other maintenance work orders performed by outside contractors.
- Actively utilizes Continuous Improvement and Six Sigma to progress along the maintenance continuum.
- Maintains records and files which are essential to perform meaningful analysis and reporting of maintenance related matters.
- Trains site employees on the maintenance request process and ensures that it is working with integrity and is being utilized.
- Promotes safe working conditions in all maintenance areas. Continually working on safety awareness with associates. Enforces safety rules and promotes a proactive safety culture.
- Continually works on process improvement and department efficiency. This includes recommendations to improve production methods, equipment performance, overall work quality, working conditions, and use of equipment.

Knowledge, Education and Experience Required:
- BS degree in Engineering or a relevant field is , or an equivalent combination of education, trade school, certifications, and experience.
- 5+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment is .
- Understanding of manufacturing processes, systems, and construction methods.
- Knowledge of HVAC equipment, industrial plumbing, and air supply, electrical, mechanical, fluid power and control systems is .
- Previous experience with continuous improvement methodologies, such as LEAN, TPM, and six sigma are .
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with supervisors and managers to maximize cooperation and coordination of maintenance and facilities activities.
Physical and Work Requirements:
- Must be able to work in a non-climate-controlled environment where ambient air temperature can exceed outside air temperature.
- Must be able to bend at the waist and knees and stand for extended periods.
- You must wear proper safety equipment as required by company policies.
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds when necessary.
- The ability to see details at close range.
- Must have and maintain a current driver’s license.
- Must be a licensed driver with a safe driving record (subject to MVR)
