Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for performing routine maintenance and repair tasks to ensure a safe, functional, and pleasant environment for our guests and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform general repairs in guest rooms, public areas, and building systems (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, etc.)

• Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance of motel property, equipment, and systems.

• Repair or replace fixtures, hardware, door locks, and basic appliances as needed

• Address guest maintenance requests promptly and professionally

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas and tools

• Assist with painting, drywall patching, and minor carpentry work

• Monitor and respond to emergency maintenance issues as needed

• Keep records of work completed, materials used, and parts inventory

• Comply with all health and safety regulations and motel policies

• Collaborate with housekeeping and the front desk to identify and resolve maintenance needs

Qualifications:

• Previous maintenance or handyperson experience (1+ year )

• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and painting

• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

• Must be physically able to lift, climb ladders, and perform manual labor

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Good communication and customer service skills

• Availability for occasional weekend or after-hours work if needed

• High school diploma or equivalent
