Maintenance Operative \n\nLocation: Coventry \n\nHours: 32 hours per week, Monday – Friday\n\nAbout the Role\n\nThis isn’t your typical maintenance job. As a Maintenance Technician, you’ll be the friendly face with the toolkit – keeping the building in top condition, solving problems before they become issues, and ensuring everything runs smoothly for the people who live and work here.\n\nFrom fixing doors and touching up paint to carrying out vital safety checks, your role is all about creating a safe, welcoming, and well-maintained environment.\n\nWhat You’ll Be Doing\n\nRespond quickly to reactive repairs (scuffed walls, broken blinds, minor fixes).\n\nCarry out planned and preventative maintenance (PPMs).\n\nKeep shared spaces, corridors, and flats looking fresh and well-presented.\n\nTackle painting and decorating tasks to maintain high standards.\n\nComplete safety and compliance checks (fire alarms, emergency lighting, legionella testing).\n\nKeep clear records and report any safety risks.\n\nSupport wider site activities such as inspections, open days, and occasional events.\n\nBe approachable, friendly, and proactive when report maintenance issues.\n\nWho You Are\n\nExperienced in building maintenance, facilities, or a similar hands-on role.\n\nSkilled in painting, decorating, and general upkeep.\n\nKnowledgeable about health & safety and compliance.\n\nOrganised, proactive, and detail-oriented.\n\nFriendly, approachable, and a great communicator.\n\n\t(Bonus if you hold NVQ, 18th Edition, or other trade qualifications, but not essential.)\n\nWhat’s on Offer\n\nSupportive training and mentorship.\n\nGenuine opportunities for career development.\n\nA reliable, experienced team to work alongside.\n\nA role with purpose – where your work really makes a difference
