Maintenance Millwright - Chemical Plant

HSAGP (Hyundai-SK America Green power) Energy LLC. is Hyundai Motor Group and SK On s joint venture company to produce batteries for electric vehicle batteries. The joint venture plans to invest $5 billion to build an EV battery cell plant in Bartow County, Georgia. Hyundai Motor Group and SK On will each hold a 50 percent stake in the joint venture. The new plant created by the two companies is expected to start manufacturing battery cells in the first half of 2026 with an annual production capacity of 35 GWh, enough to support the production of 300,000 EVs a year. The future Bartow County plant in northwest Georgia is strategically located near Hyundai Motor Group’s existing and planned U.S. facilities. Mechanical technician in Utility is responsible for managing various mechanical

facilities and their parts including air compressor, boiler, chiller, clean/dry room

facilities, firefighting facilities, HVAC, and infra. appropriate measures when there is any malfunction or damage of facilities.

Air Compressor Facility Maintenance

Check and inject compressor motor oil if needed

Replace filter parts if needed

Disassemble and cleanse compressor auto drain trap

Run test operation of compressor

Run test operation of air dryer

Replace filter parts if needed

NMP Recovery Facility Maintenance

Check operation status of eye shower

A/C Tower Maintenance

Steam Boiler Facility Maintenance

Replace and cleanse the micro-filter of water softener and purifier

Disassemble and clean the chemical line

Set(blow-down), disassemble, and clean glass water gauge

Grease and oil pump and run operation test

Grease and oil boiler fans and motors

Check and maintain heat transmitter and S/T of boiler fans and motors

Repair or replace boiler accessories and PG/TG

Hot Oil Boiler Facility Maintenance

Grease and oil pump and run operation test

Measure hot-oil boiler pump/fan vibration coefficient

Chiller Facility Maintenance

Run operation test of chiller expansion tank line

Disassemble and maintain make-up water strainer

Grease chiller cool water pump and remove strains

Inject chiller C/T (Cooling Tower) decelerator oil and run test operation

Grease chiller C/T fan motor and run test operation

BCU/BFU/FFU Maintenance

HVAC facility maintenance

Check HVAC inner sensors and drainage status

Test differential pressure sensor operation

Disassemble and cleanse cool/steam/condensate water line strainers

EHP, PAC, Air Shower Facility Maintenance

Check EHP/PAC operational status, and outdoor unit pressure condition

N2, NG Facility Maintenance

Legal Inspection Management

Deal with regular inspection of government offices

Document/keep legal inspection logs and related documents

Facility Management

Create and update facility management history

Create and update inspection log

Clean the facilities and facility room floors

Prepare and response to the legal inspections including open/in-use inspections

[Purchase and manage inventory of C/T chemicals

[Prepare and response to the legal inspections including open/in-use inspections

Take appropriate measure when the facility is malfunctioning or damaged

Perform routine tasks under direct and/or indirect supervision

Possesses broad knowledge of equipment, tools, and instructions/procedures obtained through work experience

to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

High School Diploma or GED (General Education Development)

() Associate degree in related field

0-2 years of experience in EV Battery, auto part, automobile industry, or similar high-volume manufacturing in electric or chemical component

skills:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals in English

Ability to write routine reports and correspondence in English

Computer skills:

Basic skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)

In the office: In the production site: Must wear the company-provided uniform and PPE including safety shoes, safety helmet (hard hat), safety glasses/safety goggles, portable gas measuring device

When exposed to NMP, hot oil: Additionally wear gas mask, dust-proof mask, chemical resistant clothing

Risk of noise: Risk of high temperature: 104~122°F in boiler room, machine room, vacuum pump room

Potential exposure to hazardous materials (heating medium oil, NMP, water treatment chemicals (boiler treatment compound, acidity regulator, etc.)) and various kinds of lubricating oils

Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.

Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.

Advanced understanding of UT facility

Advanced troubleshooting ability to deal with facility malfunctions

Prepare routine documentation as required under limited supervision

Ability to solve problems related to utility (mechanical) that might require analysis to understand

Performance Impact:

Perform routine tasks required for floor operations for relatively complex and difficult equipment (or production process) compared to S1 level

Perform under direct and/or indirect supervision and follow standard instructions/procedures

Suggest improvements in floor operations based on floor experience and Knowhow

Generally, require high school diploma or GED (For equipment maintenance, require knowledge/skills equivalent to an associate’s degree)

Require to complete internal/external training required to perform the job

Possess broad knowledge of equipment, tools, and instructions/procedures obtained through work experience; Identify irregularities and troubleshoots (encountered problems are routine but should be resolved through understanding of the equipment (or production process)

Collaboration and Supervision

Take first action and report to superiors when identifying any irregularities which are not compliant to the instructions regarding work environment, equipment operation, raw materials, and quality of products

Provide technical coaching and advice to S1 level members on the equipment (or production process)
