Job DescriptionJob Description

What you must do as a Maintenance Technician:

· Assists Maintenance Manager with all plant maintenance operations, ensuring that plant premises and equipment are kept in safe and clean condition

· Assists in building a maintenance program that optimizes the plant’s uptime, considers costs, and satisfies all industry regulations and OSHA guidelines

· Complete PMs. Troubleshoot, repair, and rebuild equipment and document the work done without direct supervision

· Monitor equipment and ensure it is kept in good working order. Work closely with management to repair or replace equipment as needed

· Monitor boilers and associated equipment for proper operation

· Assist outside contractors with repairing and installing machinery

· Able to apply general plumbing and HVAC skills to maintain equipment and facility

· Always complies with company policies and procedures

· Maintains a neat and clean working area throughout the day

· Operate forklift to unload and load trucks.

· Other duties as assigned, as required by scope of work or customer needs.

Qualifications/Requirements

· Minimum 3 years of experience is required

· Punctuality and reliability is a must.

· Honesty and exceptional work ethic.

· Ability to solve problems independently.

· High School diploma/GED equivalent required.

· Must be 18 years of or older.

· 2ndt Class B Boilers Operator License .

Physical Demands

· Continual standing and walking during shift.

· Continual reaching with hands/fingers/arms during shift.

· Occasional climbing, balancing, kneeling, and crouching during shift.

· Must be able to occasionally lift over 80 pounds.

· Will occasionally encounter toxic chemicals.

Schedule

· 8 hour shift

· Monday to Friday
