Interstate Foods is a leading local poultry processor and distributor serving clients across Southern California. We are seeking an experienced, full-time Maintenance Mechanic Manager to join our team.

Job Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of all property and production assets in a safe and efficient manner. Your duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Installing, repairing, and maintaining various equipment such as electric Bosch motors, Toyota pallet jacks, tumblers, grinders, conveyors, hydraulic pumps, scales, injectors, and cryovacs.
• Troubleshooting mechanical issues by observing and identifying problems in machinery.
• Dismantling and repairing machinery, replacing defective parts as necessary.
• Assessing part requirements through detailed inspections and measurements.
• Maintaining inventory of equipment parts and supplies, including placing orders when necessary.
• Training production workers on routine preventive maintenance tasks.
• Providing maintenance reports.
• Ensuring a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety procedures and OSHA regulations. Proficient lockout/tagout procedures.

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

• Ability to operate and maintain machinery and technical equipment.
• Strong knowledge of system maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Ability to work extended hours and weekends when required.
• Basic competency in electrical systems and welding.
• Basic knowledge of maintenance of trucks.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience , with demonstrated expertise in industrial maintenance.
• Mechanical knowledge is a must.
• Industrial Maintenance Certification/Associate’s in Engineering is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to bend, stand, stoop, squat, and climb stairs and ladders.
• Comfortable working at heights.
