Maintenance Mechanic

Jefferson City, MO
Full-Time | 3 Shift Options (12AM–8AM | 8AM–4PM | 4PM–12AM)
Pay: Based on experience | Overtime available with management approval

Overview:
We’re seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to assemble, maintain, and repair machinery for our production operations. This hands-on role is responsible for ensuring the functionality, reliability, and efficiency of all mechanical systems and equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines.
• Follow diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer specifications to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues.
• Diagnose and locate sources of problems by observing equipment in operation, reviewing electrical schematics, and using precision measuring and testing instruments.
• Remove defective parts using hoists, cranes, and hand or power tools; inspect parts for wear and damage.
• Determine changes in part dimensions using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
• Adjust, align, and calibrate components and control instruments to restore functionality.
• Control downtime by educating production staff on proper maintenance techniques and ensuring compliance.
• Fabricate repair parts using machine shop tools and equipment as needed.
• Maintain inventory of equipment, parts, and supplies by monitoring stock levels and coordinating orders.
• Conserve maintenance resources by using equipment and materials efficiently.
• Provide support and technical information to team members and supervisors as needed.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Mechanic or similar mechanical repair role.
• Strong knowledge of industrial machinery, electrical systems, and mechanical tools.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
• Skilled in troubleshooting, problem-solving, and preventive maintenance techniques.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school certification .

Schedule:

• Full-time position with rotating shifts available:
• • 12AM – 8AM
  • 8AM – 4PM
  • 4PM – 12AM
• Overtime available pending management approval.
