POSITION SUMMARY: Under limited supervision performs work of routine difficulty related to troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance service for all Affinia Healthcare locations. Minor electrical work, mechanical repairs, and other duties relating to maintenance are the primary duties.

Education: Requires associate degree (A.A) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school, with courses in electrical, mechanical, and plumbing technical training.

Experience: Requires a minimum of three (3) years' experience in building maintenance trade.

Skills and Abilities

  1. Ability to perform daily tasks with minimum supervision.
  2. Skilled in safe operation of power and manual tools; operation of light equipment.
  3. Skilled in repair of building systems.
  4. Establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  5. Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

License(s)/Certification(s) required: Must possess a valid driver's license and proof of automobile insurance as required by the State of Missouri. EPA Certification - either Type I & Type II or Universal.

Essential Functions

  1. Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of electrical, mechanical and plumbing systems.
  2. Performs scheduled preventative maintenance on equipment and systems as required.
  3. Inspect and repair H.V.A.C. controls and associated equipment to maximize efficiency levels in all environmentally controlled areas.
  4. Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  5. Comply with OSHA safety and Joint Commission rules.
  6. Complete work order requests.
  7. Inspect and repair building electrical/lighting systems.
  8. Inspect, clean and repair building plumbing systems.
  9. Inspect building grounds.
  10. Move furniture, appliances and equipment.
  11. Set up meeting rooms.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned.
