Position Summary
\n
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Mechanic to join our team in a fast-paced commercial printing environment. This position is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving a wide variety of production and facility equipment to ensure maximum uptime and efficient operations. The ideal candidate is team-minded, mechanically inclined, enjoys problem-solving, and can work independently while supporting production needs.

Key Responsibilities
\n

- Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment according to established schedules.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues to quickly identify root causes of equipment failures.
- Repair and maintain commercial printing equipment, including offset printing presses, paper cutters, die-cutting equipment, Blumer finishing equipment, fork trucks, and other production machinery.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime.
- Install, adjust, align, and replace machine components as needed.
- Perform inspections and identify potential equipment issues before failures occur.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and preventative maintenance documentation.
- Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement projects.
- Maintain facility equipment and perform general building maintenance as needed.
- Work closely and collaboratively with production personnel to ensure equipment is operating safely and efficiently.
- Follow all company safety policies, lockout/tagout procedures, and OSHA regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized maintenance shop and work area.

Qualifications
\n

- High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training in industrial maintenance .
- Minimum of 3 years of industrial maintenance experience , ideally in a manufacturing or printing environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with experience troubleshooting industrial equipment.
- Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and equipment documentation.
- Welding, fabrication, electrical, and machining experience is a plus.
- Forklift maintenance experience is a plus.
- Commercial printing equipment maintenance experience is highly desirable but not required.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple tasks, and respond effectively in a fast-paced production environment.
- Basic computer skills for maintenance documentation.

Physical Requirements

- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces as needed.
- Ability to work around moving machinery, noise, and industrial equipment while following all safety requirements.
