Maintenance Mechanic - First Shift in Carol Stream

Aegis is seeking a Mechanic to join our client's organization in Carol Stream, IL. The position is a 6 month contract to hire role - Aegis does offer benefits for the contractors and accrual PTO schedule. The ideal candidate has the following skills and experience:

• 5+ years of experience repairing and maintaining industrial equipment (packaging, processing, or manufacturing ).
• Strong mechanical systems knowledge with working experience in pneumatics, hydraulics, and basic electrical troubleshooting.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring devices.

Plus Haves:

• Forklift certification or experience (training provided if needed).
• Experience with packaging or processing equipment specifically.
• Familiarity with machine setup, testing, and video documentation processes.
• Experience coordinating with purchasing for parts procurement.
