HiFyve has a client in Chicago, IL that is hiring for Maintenance Mechanics! Due to company growth and expansion there are FIVE openings!
- $28-35/hr.
- + 5% shift differential for 2nd Shift
- 1st Shift - 7am-3:30pm Monday - Friday (2 openings)
- 2nd Shift - 3pm-1130pm Monday - Friday (3 openings)
- Weekly overtime of 3-5 hours
- Full benefits package
Position Summary: The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for performing a wide range of tasks to ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of facilities and production equipment.
This role involves diagnosing issues, repairing or replacing parts, and conducting regular maintenance to minimize downtime and maintain high productivity levels.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Utilize and interpret electrical meters and schematics to diagnose issues and ensure proper functionality.
- Troubleshoot and repair PLC controlled equipment and various electrical and mechanical systems, including AC/DC motors, distribution systems, HVAC systems, VFD Drives, pneumatic systems, hydraulic systems, and air compressors.
- Handle 480-volt electrical systems safely and effectively.
- Read and understand mechanical blueprints to carry out repairs and installations.
- Conduct routine mechanical and electrical maintenance and repairs on production machinery and facility equipment.
- Participate actively in the Preventative Maintenance (PM) program to reduce unexpected equipment failures.
- Complete assigned work orders promptly and efficiently.
- Manage the spare parts inventory, including requesting and organizing parts as needed.
- Operate both hand tools and power tools to perform maintenance tasks.
- Apply basic computer skills for documentation and maintenance management.
- Comply with OSHA and FSC safety regulations and standards.
- Wear necessary protective gear in environments with potential exposure to dust, odors, and noise.
- Maintain composure and efficiency under pressure.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support maintenance operations.
