Maintenance Mechanic

Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are currently looking for a Maintenance Mechanic for our client, a manufacturing company located in Yonkers, NY. This is a long-term temporary assignment. Hours: 7am-4pm; Pay Rate: $22-36/hr DOE
Job Description:

• Repairs and maintains the physical structures using hand tools and power tools.
• Paints structures, repairs metal/wood framing, drywall and plaster.
• Lays out electrical and plumbing fixtures, build physical structures and work areas.
• Repairs, alters, and maintains a variety of tools and equipment.
• Repairs, maintains, and installs HVAC systems.
• Demonstrates advanced knowledge of mechanical and facilities repair and maintenance.

Job Specifications:

• Must have minimum three (3) years of work related manufacturing experience in a maintenance environment.
• High School grad or GED required.
• Must be able to read, write and speak and understand English, and have an understanding of blueprints/schematics.
• Must be proficient with the English measurement system and be able to learn the metric measurement system within a specified period of time.
• Must have a clean, valid driver’s license.
• Must be capable of working in an active manufacturing environment and be able to climb stairs and ladders and be able to lift, push, or pull at maximum 40lbs.
