Job Description:

The client is seeking a highly experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic with strong expertise in preventative and scheduled maintenance, advanced diagnostics, and repairs for hydraulic systems, CANBUS systems, PLC computers, and other control systems. This role demands someone with at least 6+ years of heavy equipment maintenance experience (including supervisory work), proficiency with diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems, and the ability to use diagnostic tools/software effectively.

The ideal candidate will:

• Have deep knowledge of CANBUS, PLC, and hydraulic valve banks.
• Be skilled in welding, fabrication, and on-site equipment modifications.
• Train and guide junior mechanics.
• Travel frequently (50%+), providing field service and emergency repairs.
• Operate with strong safety awareness, communication skills, and the ability to work independently.

Bonus: Experience with drill rigs, CAT/Cummins diagnostics, and metal fabrication.
