Salary: Up to £44,000
Overview
A leading facilities management organisation is seeking a skilled Service Manager to oversee the delivery of Reactive and Planned Maintenance services across a designated portfolio of sites. In this pivotal role, you will ensure that maintenance activities are delivered safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements. You will lead both internal teams and external supply partners to achieve high performance standards and exceptional service delivery.
Responsibilities
Service Delivery & Compliance
- Oversee the day-to-day delivery of Reactive and Programmed Maintenance services.
- Ensure all maintenance activities meet relevant statutory legislation, mandatory requirements, and agreed service standards.
- Maintain accurate documentation for all Reactive and Planned Maintenance tasks, ensuring prompt completion and correct asset allocation within the CAFM system.
- Manage and update key maintenance schedules, including the Establishment Specific Task Schedule (ESTS) and Forward Additional Services Plan (FASP).
- Monitor compliance across multiple sites and mitigate risks associated with overdue statutory or mandatory tasks.
Operational Leadership
- Lead, motivate, and manage both internal teams and supply partners to ensure effective, cost-efficient service delivery.
- Support sustainability initiatives and identify opportunities for carbon reduction and efficiency improvements through Billable Works and other initiatives.
- Provide On-Call management as required, delivering swift and effective operational decision-making.
Stakeholder Management
- Maintain strong working relationships with on-site representatives and stakeholders.
- Ensure transparent communication around compliance, performance, and service standards.
- Proactively identify and resolve performance issues, driving continuous improvement across your area of responsibility.
What You’ll Bring
- ONC (or equivalent) in Building, Civil Engineering, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or demonstrable experience in a related technical field.
- Commitment to Continuing Professional Development, including competence in asbestos and legionella responsibilities.
- Strong understanding of site assets, Safe Systems of Work, and statutory compliance requirements.
- Relevant qualifications such as IOSH, Emergency First Aid, and Fire Safety (or willingness to obtain).
- Proven ability to lead teams and supply partners, with strong organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high compliance standards.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a personal vehicle.
- Ability to obtain and pass SC Clearance.
