About the Opportunity:
MCFA has been engaged by a leading real estate investment and property management firm to identify an experienced Maintenance Manager for a residential living property in Westchester County, NY. This role offers the opportunity to lead a high-performing maintenance team and ensure residents enjoy a safe, high-quality living environment.
Position Overview:
The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for overseeing all maintenance and preventative maintenance operations for one or more residential communities. This includes project managing & coordinating the physical aspects of buildings, systems, and amenities such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and major appliances. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with deep technical knowledge and a commitment to operational excellence and satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the communitys maintenance operations including inspections, service requests, preventive maintenance, and capital projects
- Supervise maintenance staff and third-party vendors, ensuring high standards of service and performance
- Maintain compliance with all safety protocols, regulations, and operational policies
- Perform regular property visits to assess performance, identify areas for improvement, and coach on-site staff
- Ensure accurate documentation and reporting of work orders, service requests, and scheduling
- Respond to emergency maintenance needs, including participating in the on-call rotation as required
Qualifications:
- 35 years of residential maintenance or related experience, with strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, appliances, carpentry, flooring, and emergency systems
- 2+ years of supervisory or people management experience strongly
- EPA Type I and II Certification (required where applicable)
- Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification (if applicable)
- Valid drivers license and reliable transportation
- Strong communication skills and the ability to provide exceptional customer service
- Must be able to respond to emergency calls within one hour when on-call
