Prerequisite
Physical Demands/Work Environment:
Light to moderate physical effort equal to frequent lifting of 35 pounds, occasional lifting of up to 50 ponds and the moving/handling of lightweight materials. Regularly required to sit or stand, bend and reach. Exposure to shop elements such as noise, dust, fumes and odors.
Education and experience:
- High school diploma or its equivalent required.
- Two-year technical degree or accredited apprenticeship program or the equivalent in a technical field required.
- Journeyman's card
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service
- Prepares and sets up machinery for scheduled production runs
- Performs mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of packaging and production machines
- Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to preform required maintenance and service
- Comply with OSHA Safety and Health rules
Job Summary
Conducts machine setup, troubleshooting, repairs, preventive maintenance service, and other assigned duties
