Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a Maintenance Juice Mechanic role in Vancouver, WA. Key Responsibilities:
· Troubleshoot, rebuild, and repair juice plant processing equipment, including filter systems, decanters, evaporators, positive displacement pumps, and dynamic pumps.
· Rebuild and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including pumps and valves.
· Perform preventive maintenance (PM) to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability.
· Use flow charts and mechanical schematics to understand and maintain complex juice processing systems.
· Inspect and replace gaskets, valves, food-grade piping, and other components in accordance with food safety and sanitation standards.
· Follow all safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout and confined space procedures.
· Accurately log maintenance activities on daily job time sheets.
· Collaborate with operations and production teams to identify and resolve equipment issues.
Qualifications:
· Minimum of 3 years’ experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in a food or beverage processing environment.
· Strong mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, gearboxes, and pumps.
· Proficient in using precision tools such as micrometers, calipers, and feeler gauges to check mechanical tolerances.
· Ability to read blueprints, flow charts, and mechanical schematics.
· Capable of lifting up to 50+ lbs and working in hot, humid, or wet environments.
· Enthusiastic about understanding and improving technical and mechanical systems.
Qualifications:
· Technical certification or diploma in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, or related field.
· Experience with TIG welding stainless steel sanitary piping is a plus.
· Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus but not required.
· Familiarity with sanitary design standards, FDA, GMP, and HACCP guidelines.
