Job DescriptionJob Description
Eliza Jennings, a nationally recognized leader in person-centered care, is seeking a full time Maintenance Assistant, at its Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Community, located on the West side of Cleveland.
Schedule requires every other weekend availability.
Duties:
- Review work orders with supervisor; respond and complete maintenance and repairs for facility, staff and in a timely manner.
- Conduct rounds to check lighting, heating and air conditioning, boiler, etc. to assure functionality and safety.
- Inspect and recondition rooms.
- Responds to maintenance needs of .
- Provide landscaping/grounds maintenance.
- Assure compliance with all regulations.
- Do minor plumbing repairs such as, replacing and unclogging hair traps, unplugging toilets, repairing washers and dryers, replacing broken pipes/water lines.
- Maintain and replace light bulbs, electrical outlets and rewrite or replace wiring to various equipment used by the facility.
- Install and check batteries in the smoke alarms, emergency lights and various minor equipment.
- Maintain and clean up grounds, clearing and salting sidewalks in the winter, etc.
- Participate in the lives including answering call-lights, practicing person centered care, eating meals with , and assisting/participating in activities with the .
