Maintenance Helper

Job DescriptionJob Description

Provides basic facility maintenance support focused on changing HVAC air filters, performing simple plumbing and completing required maintenance paperwork (work orders, inventory logs). Escalates any work beyond scope to the Maintenance Manager.

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:

·         Replace HVAC air filters on scheduled intervals; document filter changes on work orders.

·         Perform basic plumbing tasks, including plunging/clearing minor clogs and replacing common parts (e.g., fill/flush valves, supply lines, P-traps, faucet aerators) on toilets and sinks.

·         Open, update, and close work orders accurately; maintain simple parts/inventory logs.

·         Inspect assigned areas, identify issues, and promptly escalate problems outside this role’s scope (e.g., electrical, controls, major leaks, structural).

·         Maintain a clean, safe work area; follow company safety rules and use required PPE.

·         Communicate status updates to the Maintenance Manager and affected departments.

·         Drives vehicle to make purchases and deliveries of supplies.

·         Uses computer to monitor water treatment and correct problems associated with water treatment and/or HVAC system.

Qualifications:

Required Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalence
• Three years in Electrical Field , plant work
