We are looking for an experienced building maintenance technician to join our existing crew. We have several facilities within a 2 miles radius that needs maintenance and upkeep. 40 hours a week FT Monday - Friday and can be called in for emergencies.

Reports to and Evaluated by: Facilities Manager

Job Summary: Maintenance Technician is responsible for general maintenance of all facilities, including preventive maintenance and repairs.

Supervisory Responsibility: None

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for overall maintenance of the buildings, including routine maintenance on building systems.
  • Responsible for overseeing all operating systems in the buildings, e.g., fire alarms, boiler inspections.
  • Performs general repairs that do not require a specialized technician. Examples may include repairing drywall, painting, and repairing doors and other building fixtures.
  • Assist the Facilities Manager in an annual review of building needs and in subsequent alterations when indicated.
  • Support and adhere to the NPI Code of Ethics, work rules, policies, plans and procedures to promote a safe and secure environment for the , visitors and employees of New Paths.
  • Follow all safety regulations and procedures within the maintenance work area.
  • Responsible for answering emergency service calls after hours.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to work independently.

Education and Experience:

  • High school degree or equivalent.
  • Three years’ experience in building maintenance.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of standing, walking.
  • Must be able to climb, bend, crawl, use hands/fingers for fine motor skills.
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to work indoors and outdoors.
