Job Description
Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer\nLocation: York\nShift: Days, Monday to Friday\nOn-call: 1 week in every 3\nSalary: Up to £55,000 including on-call payments\n\n An established, well invested manufacturing business in the York area is looking to appoint a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to strengthen its day-based engineering team. This is a hands-on role supporting a critical production environment, offering strong earning potential, stability and long term development.\n\n This position will suit an engineer who enjoys fault finding, preventative maintenance and being a key part of keeping a site running safely and efficiently.\n\n The role\nYou will be responsible for maintaining and repairing plant and machinery to ensure the safe, reliable and efficient operation, minimising downtime and supporting production output.\n\n Key responsibilities\n\nCarry out planned and reactive maintenance on plant and process equipment\n\nDiagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults efficiently\n\nSupport continuous operation of the site by reducing breakdowns and downtime\n\nWork closely with the Technical Manager and wider engineering team on repairs and planning activities\n\nEnsure all maintenance activities are completed safely and in line with company procedures\n\nMaintain high standards of housekeeping within work areas\n\nFollow feed safety and site safety protocols at all times, escalating issues where required\n\nParticipate in an on-call rota, providing engineering cover outside standard hours\n\nAbout you\n\nProven experience as a multi-skilled maintenance engineer within manufacturing, process or industrial environments\n\nStrong fault-finding skills across mechanical and electrical systems\n\nSafety focused, methodical and professional in approach\n\nComfortable working independently and as part of a close knit site team\n\nFlexible and reliable, with a proactive attitude to maintenance and improvement\n\nWhat’s on offer\n\nSalary up to £55,000 including on-call payments\n\nDay-based role, Monday to Friday\n\nStructured on-call rota, 1 week in every 3\n\nStable, long term opportunity within a well established operation\n\nSupportive site culture with a strong focus on safety, quality and teamwork\n\nThe business is committed to equality, fairness and and welcomes applications from all suitably qualified engineers.\n\n If you would like a confidential discussion about the role, site or wider engineering opportunities across Yorkshire, please get in touch
