Job Description

Location: West Midlands\nRate: £44-£47 per hour (Umbrella PAYE)\nShift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off\nContract: Temporary with potential for permanent roles\n\nOverview\n\nA great opportunity to join a modern manufacturing environment supporting advanced automated production technologies. You'll be part of a skilled maintenance team responsible for ensuring high‑volume machinery and systems operate reliably and safely. Ongoing technical training is provided, including development on major PLC and robotics platforms.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nRapid response to equipment faults to minimise downtime\nPerform scheduled preventive maintenance and accurate reporting\nDiagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical issues\nImplement improvements and permanent corrective actions\nConduct safety and equipment audits\nSupport project work, weekend cover, and shutdown activities\n\nRequirements\n\nNVQ Level 3 / BTEC / City & Guilds / Apprenticeship in Engineering\nStrong electrical fault‑finding skills\nExperience in automated or fast‑paced manufacturing\nIdeally Knowledge of PLCs, CNC machinery, conveyors, robotics, pneumatics, or similar technologies\n\nAdditional Information\n\nRight to work in the UK required\nTraining and upskilling opportunities available\nOpen to candidates from all backgrounds
