Citrus Recruit are excited to be recruiting on behalf of a global manufacturing company to recruit for an experienced Maintenance Engineer.
You'll be based in a manufacturing plant environment, where no two days are the same. Expect a fast-paced setting with exposure to machinery, mechanical systems, and varied temperatures, ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of all mechanical systems across the site.
Overtime and on-call support may occasionally be required to minimise production downtime.
Responsibilities & day to day duties
As a Maintenance Engineer you will be responsible for:
Planning and scheduling preventive and predictive maintenance to keep machinery operating efficiently.
Troubleshooting and repairing mechanical issues, identifying root causes, and coordinating complex fixes.
Conducting regular inspections to ensure equipment performance and safety compliance.
Maintaining detailed records of maintenance activities, inspections, and parts inventory.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop process improvement strategies.
Ensuring health, safety, and environmental compliance across all maintenance activities. Skills & experience required.
Qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
2-5 years' experience in a maintenance engineering role within an industrial or manufacturing setting.
Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach.
Health & Safety awareness and a commitment to working to high standards.
Preferably experienced with ATEX-rated equipment and chemical blending processes. Benefits
Salary of up to £37,000
Hours: 40 hours per week
Monday-Thursday: 7:45am-4:30pm (½ hour lunch)
Friday: 7:45am-1:30pm (no lunch)
Holidays: 25 days per year plus bank holidays
