Maintenance Engineer - TIG Welding

Overview

Adept Resourcing are recruiting a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer with TIG welding experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and improving mechanical systems and equipment across the site, as well as carrying out high-quality TIG welding work when required. This role will suit someone with strong hands-on mechanical skills, a proactive approach, and the ability to work effectively within a busy maintenance team.



Key Duties and Responsibilities



Carry out planned and reactive mechanical maintenance, repairs, and upgrades on plant machinery and equipment



Diagnose and rectify mechanical breakdowns quickly and efficiently to minimise downtime



Undertake TIG welding and fabrication tasks to a high standard, including pipework, structural components, and equipment repairs



Assist in coordinating machine downtime and large-scale planned maintenance projects



Conduct thorough risk assessments prior to all tasks, following site health and safety procedures



Ensure all work is completed in compliance with relevant regulations and standards



Collaborate with colleagues and contractors to complete maintenance tasks on time and to specification



Maintain accurate maintenance records and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives



Required Skills and Qualifications



Proven TIG welding skills and experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment



Strong mechanical fault-finding and problem-solving skills



Experience with fabrication, fitting, and assembly work



Ability to work independently and as part of a team



Good communication and interpersonal skills



Safety-conscious and detail-oriented approach
