Mechanical Engineer

PrideStaff is partnering with a client in Richardson, TX who is looking for a strong Maintenance Engineer to join their team! 

This role performs diverse maintenance tasks, including electrical, plumbing, structural, and equipment repair, alongside preventive maintenance and inspections, ensuring safe and efficient facility operations. Requires strict adherence to safety procedures and timely completion of work.

This role will be perfect for someone who has experience and insight within the food and beverage industry.

Location: Richardson, TX
Schedule: M-F 7-3 or 9-5
Compensation: 80-90k

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting & Repair: Troubleshoot and execute repairs or replacements for electrical, plumbing, structural, and equipment malfunctions.
• Preventive Maintenance (PM): Perform PM on building systems and production conveyor lines.
• Building Envelope: Repair and replace broken windows, and caulk windows and doors.
• Plumbing: Perform routine plumbing repairs (unclogging, fixing leaks/faucets).
• Electrical: Execute routine electrical repairs (changing bulbs/lamps, assisting with ballast/fixture repair).
• Structural/General Repair: Repair and replace doorknobs/locks, repair door closures, patch walls, and paint interior/exterior surfaces.
• Procurement: Purchase necessary supplies, equipment, and materials for projects.
• Safety & Compliance: Always follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety procedures.
• Work Environment: Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Business Support: Perform or assist with tasks assigned by management to support business needs.

Essential Qualifications

• Education/Experience: High School Diploma and a minimum of 1 year of work experience.
• Knowledge: **Highly seeking knowledge of food industry**. Company uses Viking machinery - any familiarity is a plus.
  
  Knowledge of occupational hazards, safety precautions, and trades related to building maintenance and repair.
  
• Physical Requirements: Ability to move equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Work Environment: Ability to work without cellular devices, jewelry, and other objects that may pose a risk to blending equipment.
