Maintenance Engineer in Redditch
Location; Birmingham (Relocating to Redditch in 2027)

Initially, you'll work alongside the existing Maintenance Engineer, helping to strengthen engineering support across the current site while preparing for the transition into the new facility. Responsibilities of a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer:
Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance across blow moulding and plastics manufacturing equipment
Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults to minimise downtime
Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve machinery reliability and engineering standards
Work alongside the existing engineer to strengthen maintenance support across the site
Assist with machinery upgrades, equipment installations and modification projects
Play an active role in the planned relocation to the new Redditch manufacturing facility
Support production teams to maximise plant availability and operational efficiency
Ensure all maintenance work is completed safely and to a high standard
Participate in the engineering call-out rota when required
Skills & Qualifications of a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer:
Multi-skilled engineer with both electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills
Electrical bias
Level 3 Engineering qualification desirable; Level 2 engineers with the right attitude will also be considered
Experience within manufacturing or industrial maintenance
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability
Experience within plastics, packaging or blow moulding advantageous but not essential
Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Ability to work independently within a small, supportive engineering team

Monday to Thursday: 14:00 – 22:00
Friday: 06:00 – 14:00

22 days holiday plus bank holidays
