Job Description
Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer Nottingham Monday to Friday Up to £50,000 About the Role We're recruiting for a rapidly growing manufacturing site in Nottingham that's building out a new engineering team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on, multiskilled maintenance engineer to make a real impact in a fast-paced environment where innovation, reliability, and continuous improvement are key. This newly created role offers the chance to shape the engineering function, get involved in machinery upgrades and modifications, and contribute to automation projects.

Key Responsibilities\n\nPerform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs across the production line.\nTroubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues across conveyors, chillers, mixers, packaging machinery, weighers, and more.\nSupport the installation and commissioning of new equipment.\nMaintain detailed and accurate maintenance records.\nHelp develop and improve engineering processes, focusing on reducing downtime and improving efficiency.\nContribute to health & safety, food hygiene, and audit-readiness standards.\nMentor junior engineers or apprentices where needed.\nCollaborate closely with production, QA, and operations teams to resolve issues and drive improvements.What We're Looking For\n\nExperience in a multiskilled engineering role within food, FMCG, or general manufacturing.\nComfortable with both mechanical and electrical tasks (approx. 60/40 or 50/50 split).\nExperience with PLC systems, sensors, VFDs, and electrical wiring.\nStrong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities in a high-pressure environment.\nA proactive, solutions-focused mindset and the ability to work autonomously.\nWelding and fabrication skills are a plus.\nExcellent communication and teamwork skills.Benefits\n\nUp to £50,000 salary (depending on experience)\nMonday to Friday working hours with flexibility and TOIL/overtime options\nPrivate medical insurance including full cancer cover and rapid access\n£250 annual Learning & Development allowance\n£100 annual Wellbeing allowance\n28 days holiday + your birthday off\nOpportunity to work abroad up to 2 weeks per year (role-dependent)\nHoliday buyback scheme\nMonthly recognition scheme\nSubsidised employee sports and social clubs\nQuarterly team social events\n\nInterested?
