My client is a world-renowned packaging company and is a leading provider of corrugated packaging within the UK and are seeking a Mechanically Biased Maintenance Engineer to work with a strong team of maintenance engineers. As part of the team, you will provide planned and reactive maintenance of production lines and plant equipment.\n\nMaintenance Engineer \n £47,000 - £57,000\n Northampton\n\nShift Pattern – 4 on 4 off – (6AM – 6PM) & (6PM-6AM)\n Repeated for 7 sets and this will be followed by 18 days off.\nOur client is offering a salary reflecting experience with the potential to earn more through OT, training & development, EAP scheme, onsite mental health and well-being support, private pension.\nResponsibilities include\n\nBe able to read mechanical drawings and diagrams to carry out fault finding, repairs, and installations.\nYou will effectively lead and service and repair the machinery equipment & assets.\nYou will be required to work on mechanical issues including pneumatics, hydraulics, bearings, gearboxes, and conveyors.\nYou will be able to carry out alignment, stripping, rebuilding, and installation of mechanical components.\nCommissioning of new machinery, breakdowns, service & installation.\nBasic electrical fault finding and isolation where required.\nUnderstanding and working safely on production machinery including high-speed equipment.\nEssential:\n\nStrong customer service skills\nMust be comfortable with big machinery.\nExperience of packaging, FMCG, industrial or another manufacturing industry.\nStrong mechanical fault-finding and maintenance experience.\nGood understanding of pneumatics and/or hydraulics.\nBasic electrical knowledge (motors, sensors, fault finding) would be advantageous.\nA strong mechanical background with some electrical experience.\nA related qualification in mechanical engineering or similar\nA HNC, HND, Level 3 or a 1–2-year City & Guilds qualification is also welcome.\nIf you are interested in applying for this opportunity or wish to receive further information, please contact Sean Turton on (phone number removed) or email a copy of your current CV to “SER-IN
