Maintenance Engineer – Night Shift

West Bromwich | £45,000 (incl. shift allowance) | Permanent, Full-time



Shift Pattern:



* Sunday to Wednesday – 10:00 pm to 6:00 am



* Thursday – 10:00 pm to 5:00 am



About the Role

We’re seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to keep production equipment running smoothly, minimise downtime, and carry out planned preventative maintenance. You’ll be at the heart of operations — fixing faults fast, preventing breakdowns, and helping to make our plant safer, more reliable, and more efficient.



What You’ll Do



* Diagnose and repair mechanical & electrical faults.



* Carry out planned preventative maintenance to high standards.



* Support installations, upgrades, and process improvements.



* Keep accurate maintenance records and report any issues promptly.



* Work closely with production teams to maintain smooth operations.



* Respond quickly to breakdowns and emergency call-outs if required.



What We’re Looking For



* Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer in manufacturing or processing.



* Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.



* Experience with Robot Cells / Welding cells or PLC inputs/outputs would be desirable



* Confident using tools, measuring instruments, and calibration equipment.



* A proactive approach to problem-solving and reliability improvement.
