Job Title: Multiskilled Engineer (Multivac Specialist)

Reports to: Engineering Manager £50,000 Salary Basic

Department: Engineering - Working Monday - Friday days



Role Purpose



The Multiskilled Engineer is responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all production and engineering equipment across sites. The role focuses on the maintenance, repair, and continuous improvement of key production machinery, with essential expertise in Multivac packaging equipment, as well as refrigeration systems (including Ammonia plants) and general production machinery.



The engineer will support production by minimising downtime, maintaining high equipment reliability, and ensuring all engineering work complies with Health & Safety, quality, and operational standards.



Key Responsibilities



* Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on production equipment.



* Provide specialist technical support for Multivac packaging machines, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.



* Ensure machinery operates safely and efficiently to meet production and quality standards.



* Support installation, commissioning, and testing of new equipment and machinery



* Work closely with production teams to ensure equipment reliability and operational efficiency.



* Support machinery upgrades and process improvements.



Qualifications & Experience



* NVQ Level 3 / HNC / HND in Mechanical, Electrical, or Multi-skilled Engineering (or equivalent).



* Essential: Proven experience maintaining and repairing Multivac packaging machinery.



* Experience working in FMCG or manufacturing environments.



* Knowledge of ammonia refrigeration systems or industrial refrigeration
