Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical Bias)

Location: Redditch

Salary: £43,000 – £48,000

Shifts: Monday to Friday (Days and Afternoons)



I’m recruiting on behalf of a well-established food manufacturing company based in Redditch who are looking to add a mechanically biased Maintenance Engineer to their team.



This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing business that prides itself on quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining production machinery, ensuring minimal downtime, and supporting ongoing site improvement projects.



Key Responsibilities:

Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on a range of food production machinery and equipment.

Diagnose and repair mechanical faults, ensuring equipment reliability and efficiency.



*



Work collaboratively with production and engineering teams to resolve breakdowns quickly and safely.



*



Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and engineering projects.



*



Ensure all maintenance work is carried out to site and food safety standards.



Requirements:



*



Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer, ideally within a food, FMCG, or manufacturing environment.



*



Strong mechanical skills (experience with conveyors, pumps, motors, bearings, pneumatics, etc.).



*



Basic electrical understanding would be advantageous.



*



A proactive, hands-on approach and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
