Position Overview: The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for supporting the reliability, maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of manufacturing equipment and automation systems. This role provides hands-on technical expertise across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, robotics, and PLC-controlled equipment to maximize equipment uptime and production performance. The Maintenance Engineer will perform and support preventive maintenance, diagnose complex equipment issues, assist with equipment installations and automation projects, and partner with Maintenance Technicians and Machine Operators to strengthen technical capabilities. The position also supports equipment documentation, vendor coordination, safety and quality requirements, and continuous improvement initiatives within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

- Follow and comply with all OSHA and company safety procedures
- Adhere to the IDEMIA Quality Policy
- Ensure all work is in compliance with ISO 9000:2000 standards
- Troubleshoot robotic systems, using knowledge of microprocessors, programmable controllers, electronics, mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics
- Perform routine preventative maintenance of all manufacturing and facilities equipment
- Provide technical expertise to develop, maintain, test, trouble shoot and repair a wide range of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment and devices
- Work with vendors on new equipment installation and utilize vendor resources for training
- Assist with departmental documentation such as training, preventative maintenance (PM), etc.
- Ownership and accountability for specific machines
- Develop and support departmental documentation such as training, preventative maintenance (PM), etc.
- Install, program or repair programmable controllers, robot controllers, end of arm tools and conveyors
- Assist with the development of Automation projects
- Modify computer-controlled robot movements
- Assist with training for Maintenance Technicians and Machine Operators

Qualifications:
\n

- Graduate engineer in Electronics, Automation, Mechatronics or similar
- Demonstrated troubleshooting skills
- Experience working with robotics equipment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- PLC programming
- Knowledge on computer systems and networks
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Effective communication skills
- Self-starter that thrives in a fast-paced and energetic environment
- Solid attention to detail, the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Capable of reading machine schematics and diagrams
- Knowledge of all applicable manufacturing equipment
