We know that everyone here at Veolia can help us work alongside our communities, look after the environment, and contribute to our inclusive culture.\n\nWhat we can offer you;\n\n25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays\n \nAccess to our company/people's pension scheme\n \nDiscounts on everything from groceries to well known retailers\n \nAccess to a range of resources to support your physical, mental and financial health; so you can lean on us whenever you need to\n \n24 hour access to a virtual GP, 365 days a year, for you and family members in your household\n \nOne paid days leave every year to volunteer and support your community \n \nOngoing training and development opportunities, allowing you to reach your full potential\n\nWhat you'll be doing;\n\nAssisting the Maintenance Manager in the preparation of site maintenance budget proposals and work within approved budgets\n \nAssisting the Maintenance Manager in coordination of the in-house maintenance team's day-to-day activities, delegating and prioritising work, and ensuring all sub-contractors perform their duties according to company procedures and work schedules.\n \nDeveloping and implementing risk assessments and method statements for carrying out maintenance tasks, including the preparation of permits to work.\n \nAssisting in the management of site CMMS to ensure an effective maintenance process, including all inputs into CMMS systems and records of all assets.\n \nAssisting the Maintenance Manager with planning and management of planned maintenance outages, including specification of work, quality control and coordination between all parties involved, and to be available on site during the planned annual outage.\n \nTaking responsibility for any contractors on site as directed by the Maintenance Manager in terms of work instructions and ensuring inductions have been completed and the work is carried out safely and in line with Veolia's safe working practices.\n \nEnsuring compliance with the Veolia Management System, Health and Safety policies and Veolia minimum requirement standards to ensure that the facility operates within legal requirements, environmental legislation and other standards.\n \nAssisting with the management of the site stock holdings and critical equipment spares to ensure levels are fit for purpose.\n \nTo be available to be called in during emergency situations and plant breakdowns when necessary, participate in the 'Standby' rota as applicable.\n\nWhat we're looking for;\n\nApprentice trained Engineer /Technician, qualified to HNC standard in a relevant Engineering discipline, however extensive relevant experience will be considered.\n \nAn understanding of current environmental, health and safety issues and regulatory requirements.\n \nProficient in the use of IT equipment, including word processing and spreadsheet software, with the ability to communicate effectively and produce clear, concise reports.

\n \nKnowledge of computerised maintenance management systems would be an advantage.\n\nDesirable\n\nSound knowledge and understanding of Pressure System Safety Regulations and statutory inspection regulations.\n \nSignificant experience, understanding and knowledge of maintenance of a variety of plant and apparatus including; low / medium and high voltage equipment, 415V motors, variable speed drives, switch gear, major rotating plant large rotating equipment, boiler and steam plant and auxiliaries, material handling equipment, crane equipment, emissions abatement equipment and plant auxiliaries.\n\nWhat's next?\n\nApply today, so we can make a difference for to come.\n\nWe're proud to have been named as one of The Sunday Times Best Places to Work for three consecutive years in 2023, 2024 and 2025.
