Job Role: Maintenance Engineer\nLocation: Coventry\nPay: £44,460 \nHours: M-F 3pm-1am (15:00hrs-01:00 hrs)\nContract: Full time Permanent role\nBenefits: 25 days holiday + bank holidays, overtime paid at 1.5 X / 2X, Weekly pay, pension, death in service, wellbeing programme, free onsite parking, excellent ongoing training, 2 x 30 minute breaks, cycle to work scheme \n \nJob Purpose of the Maintenance Engineer\nWe are looking for a safety-focused and motivated Maintenance Engineer / Maintenance Fitter to join our maintenance team on a permanent late shift. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on engineer with strong mechanical maintenance experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced production environment.\nThe successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), responding to breakdowns, and ensuring the efficient operation of our MRF, SRF, and mobile plant equipment.\nMain duties and responsibilities of the Maintenance Engineer\nCarry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across the site.\nPerform routine greasing, inspection, and servicing of plant equipment.\nReplace bearings, shafts, rollers, and other mechanical components.\nDiagnose and replace hydraulic hoses and associated components.\nCarry out breakdown repairs and fault finding on Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) and Solid Recovered Fuel (SRF) processing equipment.\nAssist with maintenance and repairs on mobile plant.\nReset electrical breakers and inverters and assist with basic electrical fault diagnosis.\nEnsure all maintenance activities are completed safely and in accordance with company procedures.\nMaintain accurate maintenance records and report any recurring issues.\nWork closely with operations teams to minimise downtime and maximise plant performance.Abilities, Skills, and Knowledge required for the Maintenance Engineer\n \nPrevious experience as a Maintenance Engineer, Maintenance Fitter, or similar role.\nStrong mechanical maintenance and fault-finding skills.\nExperience working with conveyors, bearings, shafts, hydraulic systems, and production machinery.\nGood understanding of health and safety requirements within an industrial environment.\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team.\nPositive attitude and strong work ethic.Desirable:\nExperience within recycling, waste processing, MRF, SRF, quarry, manufacturing, or heavy industrial environments.\nBasic electrical knowledge, including breakers and inverter resets.\nBasic welding and fabrication skills.\nMobile plant maintenance experience
