Maintenance Engineer - Contract

Contract maintenance engineer required for immediate start – Machine strip and PPM work.



£40/hr Umbrella OR 30/hr PAYE



Working hours are generally Days starting at 7.30am - there may be occasions where you start a little later and work into the evening.

Outline



The role is based in Bedhampton working for an established Engineering company to support current onsite projects. The site operates various test rigs and ancillary equipment and require support in decommissioning a machine and carrying out preventive maintenance on other equipment on site. 



Duties



Strip test rigs, mainly mechanical equipment but there will be some cables to remove as well

Removing motors and pumps

Following preventive maintenance schedule on active equipment

Carrying out and recording machine checks

Monitoring fluid levels ensuring filters are replaced in line with schedule

Basic electrical work, identifying and diagnosing electrical component failure 

Experience



Qualified mechanically and / or electrically

Technical background in manufacturing or production environment

Mechanical or electrical fault-finding skills
