(We cannot sponsor or support VISA applicants).About the Role :We are currently recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join a highly automated warehouse operation in Northampton. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in maintaining and improving a fast-paced materials handling environment, ensuring equipment operates efficiently and downtime is kept to a minimum.Key Responsibilities:Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on automated materials handling equipmentDiagnose, troubleshoot and rectify faults, while identifying and implementing long-term solutions to prevent reoccurrenceAccurately record all maintenance activities in line with agreed processes and proceduresBuild strong working relationships with the customer, supporting day-to-day operational activitiesInvestigate equipment issues, identify root causes and work proactively with the operations team to minimise disruptionIdentify opportunities for continuous improvement and contribute ideas to enhance system performance and reliabilityCommunicate effectively with colleagues and customers to ensure a smooth and efficient operationRequirements:ONC, HNC, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical or PLC EngineeringPLC knowledge and fault-finding experience is requiredExperience within an automated environmentHappy with lone workingAbility to work at heightStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbout Us:Wills Consultants is an independent recruitment consultancy specialising in engineering, finance and office professionals.
