Automation Maintenance Engineer\n \n Location: Chelmsford, Essex\n Salary: £53,000 + Shift Allowance + Overtime\n Full Time | Permanent\n\nA leading automated distribution operation is looking for a skilled Multi-Skilled Automation Maintenance Engineer to join their engineering team at a highly automated site in Chelmsford.\n\n This is a great opportunity to work with state-of-the-art automation equipment in a fast-paced environment, supporting critical operations and continuous improvement projects.\n\nThe Role\nCarry out planned, preventative and reactive maintenance on automated equipment\nDiagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults\nSupport continuous improvement and reliability projects\nWork closely with engineering and operational teams to minimise downtime\nMaintain accurate maintenance records and fault reports\nSupport site performance through proactive engineering solutions\n Requirements\nNVQ Level 3 / ONC or equivalent in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering\nExperience working on automated machinery or production equipment\nPLC fault-finding experience \nStrong understanding of health & safety\nAble to work independently and within a team\nFull UK driving licence\n Shift Pattern This role operates across early, late and night shifts on a rotating basis, including occasional weekend cover and overtime.\n\nPackage\nSalary circa £53,000+\nNight shift allowance\nWeekend supplements\nPension scheme\n22.5 days holiday + bank holidays\nOvertime opportunities\n If you're a proactive engineer looking to work in a modern automated environment with excellent earning potential, apply today
