Shift: DAYS ONLY – Monday to Friday

We are currently recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established and successful industrial business based in Basingstoke.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer who is looking to join a stable business offering a Monday to Friday, days-only position with no nights or weekend shift pattern.

The successful Maintenance Engineer will join an experienced Engineering Team and provide multi-skilled maintenance support across a busy production facility. You will be responsible for planned and reactive maintenance, fault finding and ensuring production machinery remains operating efficiently with minimal downtime.

Skills required for the Maintenance Engineer:

Multi-Skilled Engineering background – either electrical or mechanical bias
Previous maintenance experience within a manufacturing, production, industrial or automated environment
Experience carrying out planned and reactive maintenance
Strong fault-finding and breakdown experience
Experience working on a range of electrical and mechanical production machinery
Knowledge of equipment such as motors, gearboxes, conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps and automated systems
Relevant Engineering qualification would be advantageous
Strong understanding of Health & Safety within an industrial environment

Responsibilities of the Maintenance Engineer:

The Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across a wide variety of industrial production and processing equipment.

You will respond to breakdowns, diagnose electrical and mechanical faults and complete repairs efficiently to minimise production downtime.

The Maintenance Engineer will also carry out routine preventative maintenance in accordance with the site maintenance plan, support the continued reliability of production equipment and accurately record all engineering work undertaken for compliance and audit purposes.

All maintenance activities will be completed in accordance with company procedures and current Health & Safety legislation.
