Thrive Group are delighted to be working with our client in Wincanton who is actively looking to recruit a Maintenance Engineer t to join the team on a permanent basis.\n  \n What you will be doing:\n This is a hands-on position within the Engineering team, focused on ensuring the reliability, performance and safety of site equipment and facilities at the Wincanton location. The role involves carrying out mechanical and electrical maintenance, supporting day-to-day operations, and contributing to continuous improvement of plant performance.\n \nMechanical service, repair, replacement of: Motors, gearboxes, couplings, seals, pumps, valves, hydraulics, pneumatics etc. \nElectrical service, repair, replacement of: Motors, sensors, valves, control gear, VSDs, servos, instrumentation, power distribution systems, safety systems etc.

\nTakes care of the electrical and mechanical settings, documenting them where possible.  \n What you will need to succeed:\n \nRecognized engineering apprenticeship or HNC/HND in Engineering with 5 years minimum experience in a reactive production environment. \nBuilding Services Experience: Boilers, air handling plant, refrigeration \nPrevious shift work experience \nUse of a CMMS \nFood sector background \nPackaging machinery What you will receive in return:\n \n£45,000 to £47,0000 per annum + company bonus \nWeekend overtime available \nMonday - Thursday 6-2 & 2-10, Friday 6-1 & 1-8 (39 hours) \nNo Nights \nLeave of 29 days inc BHs.
