Job Summary



They are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Engineer to support site operations and ensure maximum equipment availability. Working on a 4 on 4 off permanent night shift, you will play a key role in planned and reactive maintenance across a wide range of production machinery and automated systems. Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive breakdown repairs

Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults across production and packaging equipment

Support and lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime and improve reliability

Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and contribute to asset care strategies

Liaise with production and operations teams to minimise disruption and maximise output

Ensure compliance with health & safety and food safety standards at all times

Participate in root cause analysis and long-term solutions for recurring issues

Contribute to engineering projects and equipment upgrades when requiredRequirements



Time-served engineer with a recognised qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (e.g., NVQ Level 3, HNC, etc.)

Strong multi-skilled background (electrical bias , but not essential)

Previous experience in a fast-paced manufacturing or food/FMCG environment

Good working knowledge of automated production lines, conveyors, packaging machinery, and associated systems

Familiarity with PLC-controlled equipment (Siemens/Allen Bradley advantageous)

Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills

Team player with strong communication skills and a continuous improvement mindset
