Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer\nLocation: Leeds, West Yorkshire\nSalary: Competitive + Benefits\nHours: Monday to Friday, alternating shifts – 6am–2pm / 2pm–10pm\n\nThe Role\nWe are seeking an experienced Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at our Leeds site. You will be responsible for ensuring the reliable operation of electrical and mechanical systems, cranes, and steel processing machinery. This will include carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance, diagnosing faults, and coordinating specialist contractors — all while maintaining high safety and compliance standards.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n * \n\n Perform planned and reactive maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment, including:\n\n * \n\n Overhead cranes\n\n * \n\n Conveyors\n\n * \n\n Cutting, shearing, and processing machinery\n\n * \n\n HVAC systems, compressors, and general site services\n\n * \n\n Diagnose and repair faults, carrying out modifications as required.\n\n * \n\n Develop and maintain preventative maintenance schedules and accurate records.\n\n * \n\n Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with statutory and company standards.\n\n * \n\n Coordinate with external contractors for specialist works, ensuring all safety documentation is in place.\n\n * \n\n Manage stock levels of spare parts and maintenance tools.\n\n * \n\n Maintain detailed logs and documentation for compliance and audits.\n\n * \n\n Support site improvement projects and assist with operator training on basic maintenance and safety.\n\n * \n\n Ensure all work complies with health, safety, and environmental regulations.\n\nSkills & Experience Required\n\n * \n\n Proven experience in both mechanical and electrical maintenance.\n\n * \n\n Strong fault-finding and diagnostic abilities.\n\n * \n\n Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and schematics.\n\n * \n\n Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks.\n\n * \n\n Good communication and interpersonal skills.\n\n * \n\n Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.\n\n * \n\n Experience with CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management Systems) desirable.\n\nWhy Join Us?\n\n * \n\n Work with a market leader in a forward-thinking, innovative industry.\n\n * \n\n Be part of a company committed to sustainability and continuous improvement.\n\n * \n\n Competitive salary and benefits package.\n\nHow to Apply\nIf you’re a proactive and skilled maintenance engineer who thrives in a busy, hands-on role, we’d love to hear from you.
