Maintenance Engineer

We’re looking for a proactive and dependable Maintenance Engineer to join a leading chilled food manufacturer in Milton Keynes.

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out both planned preventative and reactive maintenance across the site.
*
Fault finding and repair on a range of food manufacturing equipment – including conveyors, slicers, ovens, and packaging machinery.
*
Ensure downtime is minimised through effective troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
*
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives across engineering and production.
*
Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, adhering to compliance and safety regulations.
*
Support with engineering projects, equipment installations, and upgrades as needed.
*
Work collaboratively with the production and technical teams to maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and quality.
What We’re Looking For:
*
18th Edition qualified (essential)
*
Proven experience working as a maintenance engineer in a food manufacturing or FMCG environment
*
Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills
*
Knowledge of PLCs, motors, drives, and automated systems (advantageous)
*
Flexible, team-focused attitude with a drive to get stuck in
*
Health & safety and food hygiene awareness
*
NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Engineering ()
